Experience
Professional tutor since 2008 for Science, Math and Programming. 1-on-1 and small groups. Total number of students tutored: well over 150. Experience teaching students with mental disabilities such as ADHD and dyscalculia. Youngest student: 5 years old (tutoring was science enrichment at an age appropriate level with lots of experiments) Oldest student: 47 years old Most of my students come from the MYP/IB program, many also from the Swiss Matu/Bac track and the German Abitur program. Occasionally I also helped working professionals to improve their skills. I not only teach the subjects by explaining and reinforcing it with practice problems, but also how to learn. It helps the students to get better organized and take better notes using, for example, the Feynman technique, the Cornell note taking system for lectures or the SQ3R technique to effectively extract and remember knowledge from books. This brings long lasting effects and removes a lot of exam preparation stress. I am trilingual, speaking English, French and German at about the same level.
